Scientific name: Myrmecocichla formicivora
It is found in Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland. They are common throughout the Kalahari.
They are dark-brown overall with a dark-brown bill and black feet and legs. The males also have a white shoulder patch that are sometimes difficult to observe.
They mainly feed on ants but also eat termites and other insects.
