Scientific name: Parus afer
The grey tit (Parus afer) is a species of bird in the Paridae family. It is found in Lesotho and South Africa. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation. I has a wide distribution and covers most of the Karoo. In the Karoo it is associated with karroid scrub and usually with rocky areas. On the West Coast of South Africa they occur in strandveld and Renosterveld without rocks.
